About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure DevOps Consultant to join our fast-paced, agile Global Data team. As a key individual contributor, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure DevOps infrastructure and solution pipelines for our data lake and analytics-related projects. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing our development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps infrastructure and solution pipelines for data lake and analytics projects.
• Develop and maintain YAML and classic pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Build frameworks and automation tools to enhance development efficiency and reduce manual intervention using ARM templates and Terraform.
• Manage and optimize nightly builds and release processes.
• Implement and maintain automated deployment strategies across various environments.
• Continuously improve and refine DevOps practices and tooling to support the team's agile methodology.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of DevOps practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and infrastructure-related issues promptly.
• Stay current with the latest Azure DevOps features and best practices, implementing them as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on Azure DevOps.
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, including both YAML and classic pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, BICEP).
• Solid understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience in creating one click deployment pipelines.
• Experience with data lake and analytics technologies in Azure (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications: Azure DevOps certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert)
