Description:
The Senior Azure Platform & Systems Engineer delivers technical solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices. They troubleshoot and fix problems related to private and public cloud infrastructure, plan and execute projects, and monitor system performance and availability. Moreover, they act as a technical escalation point for team members. The Senior Azure Infrastructure Platform & Systems Engineer is responsible for helping to secure, maintain, and monitor the health of the infrastructure environment throughout Temple Health. They will help conduct utilization reviews, establish fault notification processes, analyze data to recognize trends and create automated proactive measures to prevent application downtime.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Bachelors Degree : in relevant field (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
AZ-400 - Designing and Implementing DevOps (preferred)
AZ-500 - Azure Security Engineer (preferred)
AZ-305 - Designing Azure Infrastructure Solutions (preferred)
SC-100 - Azure Security Architect (preferred)
Experience
5 Years experience in related role with proficient ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve complex problems involving multiple integrated applications (Required)
General Experience and demonstrated proficiency with scripting to effectively automate tasks and processes using platforms and programming languages such as PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, Terraform, and Ansible (Required)
General Experience and familiarity with managing infrastructure, platform, application, and security that emphasizes engineering principles (Required)
General Experience and knowledge of current operating systems and storage technologies (Required)
General Experience and knowledge with a strong understanding of data security and privacy standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent (Required)
General Experience and knowledge with analyzing, diagnosing, suggesting, and implementing process changes (Required)
General Experience and understanding of cloud topology solutions (Required)
General Experience and understanding of common protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, TLS, SSH, LDAP, KERBEROS, NTP, CIFS, and NFS (Required)
General Experience and understanding of network technologies such as firewalls, proxies, and load balancers (Required)
General Experience and understanding of virtualization or containerization technologies and platforms (Required)
General Experience with demonstrated skill and judgment in prioritizing, influencing, driving remediation and risk reduction strategies (Required)
General experience and knowledge managing and completing IT related projects (Required)
General Experience in Healthcare IT (Preferred)
