Position Summary:

As a Senior B2B QA Engineer - Cloud at TP-Link, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our enterprise-grade cloud solutions. You will lead the development and execution of test strategies for cloud-based applications designed specifically for business-to-business (B2B) use cases-including cloud management portals, APIs, remote device control platforms, and network monitoring dashboards.

This position requires deep experience with cloud architecture, automation frameworks, and REST API validation, as well as strong collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your work will directly impact our global business customers' ability to securely manage smart networking products through our cloud platform.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the creation, execution, and maintenance of comprehensive test plans and test strategies for B2B cloud-based systems.
  • Design and build robust automation frameworks for both front-end and backend testing using programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Execute end-to-end, regression, performance, and security testing, and develop coverage strategies aligned with business and technical priorities.
  • Conduct in-depth REST API testing to validate functionality, scalability, and security across cloud services.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to verify backend logic and ensure data consistency.
  • Collaborate with software developers and product managers to define and refine test requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manage automation scripts and participate in Git-based version control workflows, including code reviews and repository management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including test cases, test strategies, automation guides, and defect reports to support team collaboration and process transparency.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and actively contribute to QA best practices, training, and documentation standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing tools, methodologies, automation coverage, and QA process efficiency.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software QA or testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in cloud-based or enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience testing B2B cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS applications, or network-focused systems.
  • Deep understanding of testing methodologies, with a proven ability to create comprehensive test plans, strategies, and new test cases.
  • Proven expertise in test automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Hands-on experience developing automation for both front-end (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and backend systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of REST API architecture and testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured); ability to validate API functionality, security, and scalability.
  • Basic to advanced SQL proficiency for backend data validation and consistency checks.
  • Proficient in using Git with experience in advanced workflows (e.g., branching, rebasing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to QA best practices and documentation standards.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid development environments.


Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working on B2B cloud-based or networking product environments.
  • Experience testing cloud-enabled hardware such as routers, IoT devices, or IP cameras.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies (e.g., JMeter, Locust) including load, stress, and scalability analysis.
  • Expertise in security testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests in DevOps workflows.
  • Experience with mobile application testing, both manual and automated (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).

Salary range: $140,000 - $200,000 + DOE & Bonus
