As we grow, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for the continued development and enhancement of our flagship products, Valkyrie and Cygnet. You will be a key player in our engineering team, bringing your expertise and innovative thinking to advance our technology and maintain our competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems for Valkyrie and Cygnet, ensuring they align with industry best practices and our product goals.
• Manage and optimize data schemas for scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Work closely with frontend engineers and support their needs from the platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with other components of our cybersecurity products.
• Continuously improve code quality, system design, and development processes.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and product strategy discussions, providing insights and expertise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in the backend systems.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in backend development and cybersecurity technologies, and apply this knowledge to our products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development, preferably in the cybersecurity industry on host and/or network detection products.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Industrial cybersecurity and/or critical operations industry experience is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in backend languages and frameworks, such as Python, JavaScript, C, Go, Rust, or similar technologies.
• Development experience with both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and services, particularly in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Architectural understanding of how to design, implement, and scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record of developing high-quality, scalable, and resilient backend systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
