JOB SUMMARY:

Belle Tire is seeking a proven data wrangler, and aspiring business analyst and process improvement leader to join our Supply Chain Operations (SCO) team.

The ideal candidate will be a data driven, critical thinker, passionate about challenging the status-quo. As the SCO Analyst, you will play a crucial role in engaging with management team members across each sub-domain area of the SCO Team to maintain data-flows, reporting, and dashboards to provide insights into their domain performance, and measure the performance of any projects. In addition, you will be collaborating with Centers of Excellence (COE) cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, gather data, and prepare reporting, insights and presentations to achieve cross-functional company objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Data Gathering - Use technical skills set to pull, mine and leverage data for business opportunities and insights.
  • Manipulate, integrate and connect data from different sources
  • Understand the context for the data well enough to clean and transform it into a form useful for subsequent analysis
  • Utilize data visualization and dashboard tools
  • Perform complex data/statistical analysis and explain to management
  • Bring to life the business story from the data -- Observation/Fact, Implications and Potential Recommendations or Considerations
  • Data mine from a variety of internal and external sources, including the joining together of disparate, non-normalized data sets.


    • Performance Improvement -- Data Measurement + Operational Insights
    • Work with internal stakeholders to develop business and functional requirements for manual reports and dashboards related to inventory, distribution, logistics, recycling KPIs.
    • Design, develop, test and run dashboards and monthly reports
    • Act as lead power user to support and guide other users, team members, and executives in the use of dashboards and ad-hoc reporting and analysis within the domain areas
    • Conduct analyses of operational KPIs and then develop story-telling presentations to explain operational performance vs annual operation plan to management and cross-functional leaders on a monthly basis


    • Process Improvement -- Data Measurement + Project Support
    • Work with SCO management team members to plan, schedule and track the implementation progress of project initiatives related to inventory, distribution, logistics, and recycling.
    • Research, analyze and measure project improvements that drive efficiency, service improvements to our retail stores, and cost savings and provide ongoing project insights to key stakeholders.
    • Work with COE team members across the organization to collaborate on data-driven problem solving, process improvement and innovation projects across the enterprise.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, analytics, or a related field
    • 2-3 years of experience full-time experience as a business analyst, working with complex data
    • Strong analytical skills and logic with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data and business processes
    • Proficiency in business analysis tools and business applications such as Power BI, Domo, SAP and WMS are a preferred
    • Proficiency in writing SQL queries, R, Python, etc
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all level
    • Master excel user
    • Passionate about constantly looking to improve, grow, innovate


    Working Conditions: Work hours are typically Monday-Friday. Office environment requiring long periods of sitting.
