Ready for a truly differential General Management experience, working on the biggest market outside of the US? Set winning growth strategies, be fully accountable for the P&L and lead cross-functional teams with significant leadership & US partnership. As a Senior Brand Manager, you will drive demand on top General Mills Canada brands with sizeable consumer budgets. You will orchestrate across your teams to deliver brand strategy, execute across the 4Ps, and deliver on our top line, bottom line, and share goals. You will build skills in running a business, leading teams, navigating the organization, and building brands.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Brand Vision & Strategy: Develop and champion a compelling brand vision that drives sustainable growth, achieves financial targets, and inspires the entire General Mills Canada team. Create adaptable strategies that navigate market disruptions and embrace continuous business transformation
  • P&L Ownership: Take complete ownership of top and bottom-line results, demonstrating a deep understanding of revenue drivers, cost management, and overall financial performance. Develop a deep understanding of the business to become an informed and strong decision-maker
  • Consumer-First Mindset: Cultivate a deep understanding of consumer needs, preferences, and pain points through data analysis and insightful market research. Translate these insights into actionable strategies that resonate with your target audience
  • Strategic Navigation: Navigate the organizational landscape effectively, building strong relationships across functions, levels, and markets to achieve ambitious goals
  • US Partnership: Partner closely with US counterparts to effectively harness the scale of North America Retail. Drafting and adapting from the US is a vital part of how we work, so clear communication / collaboration / negotiation is essential to success
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Effectively lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and inspiring creative execution. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and accountability across teams
  • Integrated Marketing Execution: Balance and prioritize initiatives across innovation, renovation, brand building, distribution, trade, shopper marketing, promotions, and communications to optimize P&L performance
  • Team Development: Empower and develop direct reports through Engaging Leader Behaviours, fostering a culture of growth and high performance with effective coaching and mentorship. Motivate and inspire the team to push through uncertainty and change


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 6+ years of experience, ideally in CPG brand management or P&L ownership/general management
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to navigate complexity and drive connections across functions, ideas, and processes
  • Analytical ability to assess P&L impact of actions and strategies
  • Strategic mindset to build a vision and pipeline of ideas to meet business objectives
  • Capability to influence without authority to achieve buy-in with those you don't directly manage
  • Change Agility to navigate and adapt to frequent changes and unforeseen gaps to be filled
  • Success in leading & coaching others
  • Growth mindset as a highly motivated, action-oriented, curious individual


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA degree
  • Experience as a Brand Manager or similar roles
