Senior Building Accountant / Property Accountant

We are looking for a Property Accountant for our client's office in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting and at least 1-2 years of real estate experience in a professional accounting environment. They should be willing to undergo training on various aspects specific to property accounting.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $35 to $44 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Completion of month-end close process
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Preparation, enhancement and review of regular management package
• Review of annual tenant CAM, tax and other expense pass through reconciliations in cooperation with third party outsource
• Provide documentary support for legal actions related to delinquencies or other lease related disputes
• Assist with third party audits, tax package preparation and external reporting as required
• Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent number of years of experience plus five years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years of property accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organizational skills
• Proven competencies in software applications and programs, particularly Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
