Job Description: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Fredericton, NB E3B 9M9, Canada | Duration: 12-Month Contract with Possible Hire
Mandatory Requirements:
Bachelor's level University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or similar discipline.
Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
5 years demonstrated Healthcare experience with a focus on health information systems, standards, technology, and/or software.
Minimum Requirement:
Minimum 3 years as a Senior Business Analyst responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, and detailed design activities.
Facilitation skills: 3 years leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases.
3 years leading and producing business analysis documentation (e.g., business requirements, patient journeys, functional specifications, process diagrams, requirements traceability, SOPs, test plans, and test cases).
Strong verbal and written communication skills targeting specific audiences (technical, non-technical).
5 years working with self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and confidently engaging and collaborating with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.
5 years multitasking, working with multiple teams supporting more than one project stream/activity.
3 years using Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams).
3 years familiarity with healthcare areas: Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Surgical program, Emergency Department, Cardiac Diagnostics, Nursing, Therapeutics, or Health Information Management.
Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in both French and English.
Previous experience working within New Brunswick's technology or healthcare environments showcasing a strong understanding of the local landscape, policies, and practices.
Deliverables: The successful candidate must deliver the following:
Detailed review of existing business requirements and technical current state documentation.
Collaborate with technical experts to gather input for the development and refinement of data requirements and standards.
Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate existing requirements and collect new business and information technology requirements, including gap analysis.
Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, patient journeys, user guides, and training materials.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of business and technical requirements to support the planning, management, and progression of technical workstreams within the CIS project.
Recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.
