We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. Our projects can entail investigating major transportation accidents, equipment failures, personal injury claims, and damage to residential or commercial structures. About this Role

The Senior Business Development Specialist is a key player in driving ESi's business growth through strategic market analysis and client relationship management. This role involves identifying and pursuing high-value business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key clients, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategic business development initiatives. The Senior Business Development Specialist will have a strong focus on expanding ESi's market presence and ensuring long-term client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Analysis
  • Lead the research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop insights and recommendations for expanding into new markets and enhancing service offerings.
  • Present detailed market reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Client Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and aligning ESi's services accordingly.
  • Represent the organization at industry events and meetings, acting as a primary point of contact for clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Develop and implement client retention strategies to maintain strong, long-term relationships.

Business Development Strategy
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with company goals.
  • Take a lead role in the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Track and report on business development activities, including lead generation, client engagement, and revenue growth.

Mentorship and Team Collaboration
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the Business Development team, sharing best practices and knowledge.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure alignment on business development initiatives.

Project Management
  • Manage and coordinate multiple business development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful execution.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve any issues that arise, and ensure that all objectives are met.

Qualifications

Education Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.

Experience Required
  • 4-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.

Other Skills/Abilities or Other Qualifications
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment (Primarily office-based, with occasional travel required)
  • Strong leadership and client relationship management skills.
  • Advanced research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM software.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Experience in the engineering or forensic engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, or other design tools.
  • Established network of contacts in the legal or insurance industries.
