Description:

The International Code Council (ICCSafe) is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work with stakeholders across the organization to develop and optimize our systems and processes. The role is embedded within finance operations and has high visibility within the organization.

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.

You will also look for and identify opportunities for process improvements, develop strategic solutions, and lead the implementation based on best practices and industry standards.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, finance, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role. You should also have strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. As well as proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems and other financial software.

Responsibilities:
  • Build rapport and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform and optimize ERP systems and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work with users and stakeholders to map, re-engineer, and improve business processes.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for solution development.
  • Analyze and document complex processes and data flows using visual flow-charting tools.
  • Lead ERP implementation and migration projects in the finance domain.
  • Work with business users to ensure seamless adoption of new ERP features and workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to configure and integrate ERP with other systems.
  • Support data migration efforts during ERP transitions, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify patterns and trends to propose solutions or strategies for business challenges or new projects.
  • Produces reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate progress on projects or goals to management.
  • Manage and participate in user acceptance testing and validation.
  • Develop user training and provide guidance on systems functionality.
  • Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

Essential Skills and Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar role working with enterprise systems.
  • Experience with data analysis and financial reporting software is a plus.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or PMP is a plus.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience and growth as a business systems analyst.
  • Experience with modern cloud-based ERP systems like Microsoft Finance and Operations or Oracle NetSuite.
  • Experience with ERP migration projects, data, and process optimization is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large data sets to derive insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate across all levels within the organization and with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to decompose and communicate complex systems processes in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, and design.
  • Experience and understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with project and change management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, scripting, or programming languages for process automation and business process workflows is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)


Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • This position follows a hybrid work model and is based in our United States office (Country Club Hills, IL).
  • The role may involve working extended hours to meet deadlines and manage critical situations.
  • The role may require occasional lifting of light objects and long periods of sitting or standing.


Salary Description

up to $130,000
