As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to enhance efficiency and productivity through cutting-edge information system products. You'll be instrumental in supporting critical financial reporting, including the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), by providing insightful data analytics and driving automation. What You'll Do
As our Senior Business Systems Analyst, your day-to-day will be anything but routine. You will:
- Dive into Financial Reporting: Scope, plan, and execute data analytics for the ACFR, develop crucial reports and automation, and even lead the charge in selecting optimal data analytic tools. You'll be our Prophix subject matter expert.
- Master Business Processes: Develop a deep understanding of our business processes, data flows, and system interfaces. Conduct insightful transaction walk-throughs and collaborate closely with users to truly understand their needs.
- Translate Vision into Reality: Assist users in defining their business requirements and expertly translate these into clear technical specifications for our development teams.
- Champion Project Success: Collaborate with users to ensure our dashboards and tools meet their objectives, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide essential training and support on data utilization.
- Be a Communication Catalyst: Serve as a vital liaison between process owners, users, and developers, facilitating seamless communication and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process enhancement and propose data-driven recommendations.
- Document for the Future: Create clear, user-friendly documentation of business processes and systems, potentially developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quick reference guides to build our knowledge base.
- Validate and Test: Conduct rigorous data validation and testing to guarantee the accuracy of our outputs.

Requirements
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, computer science, data science, management information systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2+) years of substantial experience in business / financial systems analysis, demonstrating significant involvement in relevant projects. Experience in financial systems is critical.
- One (1+) year of experience with analytics tools and reporting software such as Prophix, SQL, Power BI, ACL, Python, Tableau, or Alteryx. A working understanding and the ability to communicate effectively with data analysts is key.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Strong general financial reporting knowledge.
