Senior Business Systems Analyst

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA 23219
Duration: 12 + Months

Schedule: Hybrid (1 Week Onsite, 1 Week Remote)

Job description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal clients to identify and implement business process improvements through technology.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate system functionality.
• Prepare support and training documentation.
• Provide second- and third-level application support for inquiries submitted to the IT Help Line.
• Maintain adherence to formal change management procedures.
• Utilize Quality Center for documenting and tracking work requests.
• Perform data analysis and troubleshoot application issues.
• Participate in compliance and regulatory efforts (e.g., NERC CIP, SOX).
• Support both capital projects and ongoing maintenance for multiple client areas.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of experience supporting technology projects and applications.

Proven experience in:

• Requirements gathering and documentation.
• Application testing.
• Process mapping.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead Business Systems Analysis work independently across various projects.
• Experience providing 2nd and 3rd-level application support.
• Skilled in using Quality Center or similar tools.
• Proficient in data analysis and troubleshooting application functions.
• Familiarity with formal change management processes.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

• Experience working in compliance and regulatory environments, such as:
• NERC CIP.
• SOX.
