We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Buyer to lead IT procurement activities with a focus on optimizing vendor relationships, negotiating cost-effective contracts, and aligning procurement strategies with business goals. Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services supporting business operations.
- Collaborate with and support internal IT stakeholders in procurement-related matters.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies, including RFIs and RFPs, and manage bid events and documentation.
- Define supplier selection criteria and drive cross-functional team-based selection and negotiation processes.
- Implement supplier risk analysis and align sourcing initiatives with organizational goals.
- Execute and maintain Global Procurement strategies, systems, and tools that promote efficiency, compliance, and standardization.
- Collect, analyze, and audit procurement data to manage spend and optimize sourcing decisions.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms and delivery expectations.
- Conduct regular supplier reviews and meetings to drive continuous improvement and resolve issues.
- Lead weekly category review meetings with cross-functional teams to track procurement performance.
- Drive consolidation of IT spend and identify synergies across business units.
- Ensure alignment with company savings goals, including the use of financial models for cost evaluation.
- Balance spend portfolio through strategic sourcing waves and consistent application of sourcing methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Purchasing and Sourcing.
- At least 5 years of experience specifically in IT procurement (products and services).
- Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of procurement processes and strategies.
- Ability to analyze complex issues and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Proficient in contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise-level IT procurement initiatives.
- Background in managing global procurement systems and processes.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior procurement staff.
Certifications (if any)
- Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
