Senior Buyer, Supply Chain

Exela Pharma Sciences is searching for a talented Senior Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is not essential, however, we are searching for someone with strategic experience in a highly regulated industry (packaging, chemicals, automotive) with a mindset for growth and a desire to create value for Exela and facilitate continuous process improvements.

As a Senior Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement process by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services for our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives, while also maintaining efficient and cost-effective purchasing procedures. The Senior Buyer will collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the supply chain team, finance department, and production teams, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services. This role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and market knowledge to achieve optimal results.

In this role the Senior Buyer will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide procurement solutions that meet their needs.

• Research and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with vendors.
• Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the purchasing team.

• Manage open Service PO's

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in a senior capacity.

Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier management.

Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.

SAP experience preferred but not necessary

Ability to travel as required
