What is the job about?

As the Senior Category Manager for Professional Services & Travel, your role will be to ensure high stakeholder satisfaction by acting as a Purchasing Business Partner for Group Functions and Divisions based in Americas for the Professional Services & Travel spend (HR, Fleet, Travel and Finance Services categories). You'll be tasked with managing regional spend, driving Value Based Sourcing, and enhancing operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability from suppliers.

This role will report to the Chief Category Manager for Professional Services & Travel and will operate out of our Brookshire, TX office on a hybrid basis.

Please note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.

Your main responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for the Professional Services & Travel spend in the Americas region. This covers the categories HR, Fleet, Travel and Finance Services.
  • You will work closely together with the Global Category Managers for HR, Finance Services and Travel respectively.
  • Develop the category strategy to support the business strategy - in agreement with the Purchasing COE Head for Professional Services & Travel and senior business stakeholders.
  • Use Ariba to ensure efficient category management by driving sourcing events, contracting and developing buying channel strategy.
  • Use data and intelligence to generate insights and opportunities that can be fed back into strategies and projects.
  • Continuously stay up-to-date on market expertise of significant trends and developments and understands the risks and opportunities they present to Grundfos.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and alignment of the regional sourcing strategy.
  • Leverage volumes across Grundfos, secure efficient demand management, share best practices, optimize and maintain the supplier portfolio and ensure contract compliance.
  • Enhance your relationship with stakeholders for insight into, and influence over, the current and future sourcing requirements.
  • Act as a Purchasing Business Partner for the Group function and Divisions for the Professional Services & Travel spend in the Americas region: understand the business strategies, needs and requirements while challenging requirements, policies, existing solutions and concepts.
  • Develop supplier relationship management frameworks to achieve mutual goals.


Your background

We imagine that you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business is preferred with a strong commercial emphasis.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within indirect procurement and ideally have experience from one or more of the following categories: HR, Finance Services, Fleet and Travel required.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills and preferably in an international matrix organization.
  • Analytical thinking and strategic thinking.
  • Track record of delivering results through strong collaboration with stakeholders.
  • A willingness to travel a couple times a year. As a result, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
  • The ability to operate out of the Brookshire, Texas facility in a hybrid function.
