Position Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing change initiatives and developing strategies to facilitate organizational transitions. The individual will define change strategies and plans related to broader operational models, adhere to established change management frameworks, offer guidance to senior executives, and review or approve all relevant change management outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the organizational change management (OCM) program within the scope of work, supporting operational model transformations.
- Ensure key elements of the change strategy are addressed, including stakeholder management, leadership alignment, communication, engagement, and training.
- Oversee OCM program management activities, including leadership reporting, team assignments, and development.
- Activities include leading meetings, managing the OCM team, and coordinating with Change Specialists, Communications and Engagement Leads, Training Leads, and Training Specialists.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and review plans and deliverables for each change element, ensuring thoroughness.
- Provide guidance to the Communications and Engagement Lead on engagement strategies.
- Advise the Training Lead on the development and implementation of training strategies and plans.
- Develop and manage key program-wide OCM deliverables, such as:
- Governance models for OCM
- Change management strategies and plans
- Networks for change leaders and champions
- Models for sustaining change, considering stakeholder differences
- Organizational readiness reviews for each change milestone
- Metrics to measure adoption and business outcomes
- Review and approve OCM deliverables including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, role assessments, business readiness activities, etc.
- Establish and manage networks of Change Leaders and Champions to support implementation efforts.
- Monitor and address issues in the OCM RAID log, creating mitigation plans with the change network, and escalate as necessary.
- Enhance change management skills through coaching and support of Change Leaders and Champions.
- Contribute to the development of change practices by sharing insights and approaches with the broader change management network.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior change management roles, including business transformation and program leadership.
- Proven experience in implementing business transformation projects or enterprise systems.
- Strong relationship-building skills with executive leadership.
- Experience with ERP implementations is advantageous.
- Experience in managing cultural change in industrial or mining environments.
- Experience leading OCM programs in Agile project teams, delivering specific change management tasks.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in team settings, collaborating with site leadership and operational teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) or other accredited change management certifications preferred.
- Program or Project Management certification is a plus.
