    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Responsible for providing claim advice to clients including evaluating coverage for loss scenarios, advocating for coverage including authoring responses to adverse coverage positions & advising clients and internal teams on coverage issue
    Evaluate claim processes and author solutions for improvement. This includes negotiating best in class claim handling procedures with insurers and third-party claim administrators.
    Participate in formal presentations to prospective and current clients. Examples are Claim Strategy Meetings, Claim Service Capabilities Presentations & Claim Kick-off Meetings.
    Development of Claims Reporting Procedures for external client
    Developing and maintaining Service Plans for external client
    Ensure that Lockton policies, procedures and standards are followed
    Deliver customer service as directed
    Attend staff meetings, department meetings, educational workshops, and industry and trade meetings


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related program or equivalent education and/or experience required.
    • Industry designations a plus: AIC, CIC, ARM, or CPCU
  • 10+ years claim experience with insurance broker, carrier or third-party claim administrator
  • Strong knowledge of commercial property/casualty coverages and claims
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to report claims to the appropriate insurance carriers accurately and promptly on behalf of Lockton clients
  • Ability to organize, analyze & present claims/loss data
  • Utilization of carrier and TPA on-line systems to monitor claim progression and deliver reports
  • Proven ability to organize & manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and execute oral and written instruction
  • Demonstrated professional and tactful negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external clients and develop strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation
  • Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve other Associates
  • Extensive insurance industry knowledge through experience and/or course work
  • Demonstrated ability to instill confidence and comfort in external clients so that clients look to Lockton not just as an insurance broker, but as a business partner

The entry base salary offered for this opportunity may vary, and is contingent upon candidate education, skills, abilities, essential competencies, experience, professional designations, unique qualifications, and geographic location.

Performance Bonus: This role may be eligible for an annual performance bonus, based upon the financial performance of the organization and the individual contributions of the Associate.
