Job Description
Summary:
Provides technical direction within an assigned section or sub section of the clinical laboratory. As needed, performs prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens as well as to evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care personnel.
Education And Credentials
Responsibilities:
BS or BA Must possess a Bachelor's degree verified by NYSDOE as meeting Bachelor's degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist required. Lab Tech Limited Permit required. Lab Technician within 9 months required. NYS DOE - Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License upon hire required OR laboratory technologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting. If working with limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire.

Other information:
Requires 4 years clinical lab experience as a technologist. Requires 2 years within past 6 years performing laboratory tests for which position is responsible to monitor.
