Our Team is seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Manager to oversee compensation strategy, policy, and compliance for a global client group consisting of Aerospace manufacturing businesses. The successful candidate will create, manage and deploy compensation systems to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with business objectives. Key responsibilities of the position will focus on planning, design, implementation, regulatory compliance, communication, evaluation and administration of salary plans, incentive plans, and reward programs. This role will also provide internal customers, primarily HR site and regional leaders, with compensation solutions for a variety of complex compensation issues.

The Senior Compensation Manager will be based in a PCC manufacturing facility in one of the following locations:
  • Los Angeles County or Orange County, CA
  • Seattle, WA
  • Houston, TX
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement compensation structures that are robust, appropriate and tailored to the needs of the business. Routinely assess the market appropriateness of the pay scales in concert with the business needs and strategic goals.
  • Compensation structure administration: annual survey data submission, analysis of survey results, and maintenance of internal compensation structure.
  • Uses knowledge of business strategies and competitive compensation practices to develop solutions, detailed implementation plans, and financial impact to respective stakeholders.
  • Oversee, enhance and manage the administration of company incentive programs including the corporate long-term incentive program, annual executive level bonus program and the Quarterly Cash Bonus Program.
  • Manages the annual merit review process for the assigned client group
  • Ensure ongoing FLSA compliance and conduct audits periodically to assess compliance; thoroughly document findings and recommend appropriate solutions for compliance
  • Analyzes job descriptions, formulates recommendations regarding FLSA exemptions, market data comparisons and organizational structures. Supports site compliance audits.
  • Develop communications tools to actively promote the effective comprehension and utilization of incentive programs. Model overall program payouts and various planning scenarios. Administer and update plan documents and communication annually.
  • Partner with HR leaders to ensure development and design of compensation tools for manager self-service, bonus and incentive planning / tracking, and annual merit planning.
  • Subject matter expert for compensation tools and processes. Partner with HRIS to develop and deploy compensation processes and systems including requirements definition, testing, implementation, and change management
Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, customer concerns, and management objectives.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate proposed initiatives to senior leadership
  • Project management skills: Develops project plans; coordinates projects; communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and budget; manages project team activities.
  • Experience with market pricing methodologies, variable compensation plans, and FLSA compliance
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience as a compensation leader role to include developing and maintaining salary structures, annual merit process administration, and data analytics
  • Experience administering executive compensation including annual incentives, long-term incentives, and equity programs
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline
  • System experience:
    • Excel (advanced lookups and pivot tables)
    • PowerPoint and Access (intermediate experience)
    • HRIS systems (e.g. Workday, Oracle, Peoplesoft, or SAP SuccessFactors)
Travel Requirements:
  • 5-10% travel

For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Executive Bonus Plan, paid out up to 10% of the applicable annual base salary, based on the Company's performance in the prior calendar year. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
