About the Role

As a Senior Composites Manufacturing Engineer, you will enable the reliable manufacture of space-ready composite structures. You will bridge the gap between theory and reality, and enable us to design and build huge numbers of flight-ready deployable reflectors. We're looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, and loves to iterate fast.

Responsibilities

• Create composite manufacturing & prototyping processes that allow us to iterate at a very high rate
• Get your hands dirty performing layups yourself, and quickly prototyping ideas
• Build space-ready deployable composite structures, for our first spacecraft and beyond
• Develop our production-ready manufacturing processes to build thousands of reflectors

Ideal Qualifications

• Very experienced with composite manufacturing, especially thin structures, composites for use in space, or other novel areas of composite manufacturing
• Capable with your hands & great attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience developing production processes from the ground up including driving design improvements for manufacturing
• Familiarity with the design and manufacture of deployable structures and solar sails
