Summary

This position manages field services with direct responsibility to provide support and direction to oversee field device installations and relocations, training site devices, device configuration testing and confirmations, hardware and firmware updates, and support for hardware and software testing, and warranty and spares parts inventory management for OMNY operators' and MTA labs' New Fare Payment System (NFPS) e quipment . This position offer s vendor performance oversight , reviews technical documentation , including installation guidelines and procedures , and w itnesses NFPS device testing by the vendor in the lab environment. Senior Construction Managers have the authority to establish and audit construction delivery standards for all engineering and architectural disciplines in C&D Delivery. The Senior Construction Manager assists in managing all construction processes to conform to professional industry and MTA C&D standards.

Responsibilities

Reviews contractor construction and technical designs for constructability in Design-Build projects.

Manages the scheduling, installation, testing , and commissioning of NFPS devices during the lifecycle of replacement and relocation installations . They will ensure that all installation processes are completed on time and adhere to industry and MTA C&D standards.

The incumbent will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that technical and functional requirements are met and that the installation process is managed effectively. They are also responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting in the event of any issues arising during the installation process.

Responsible for monitoring and/or auditing third - party technical design and construction activities for compliance with the contract's requirements.

Responsible for liaising with stakeholders and vendor to identify and resolve equipment maintenance, stakeholder backshop and vendor servicing issues.

Establish and maintain stakeholder communication throughout the installation and testing phases , recording feedback and participating in coordination meetings.

Documents , via a punch l ist of both conforming and non-conforming work, the progress of outstanding issues, verifies corrective actions and identifies remediation for corrective actions.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.

Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience.

Competencies:

Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.

PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Must possess excellent team - building , listening, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

Proficient computer skills (i.e., Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.) and strong business administrative skills (i.e., presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.).
