Description:

Southland Holdings is hiring a Senior Construction Scheduler in Tampa, FL. We're looking for an experienced professional with deep knowledge of Primavera P6, a solid background in heavy civil infrastructure, and strong expertise in CPM scheduling, cost/resource loading, delay analysis, and change order management. This role supports both pursuit and execution phases of major projects and requires up to 20% travel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain critical path method (CPM) schedules using Primavera P6 for both pre-bid and active projects.
  • Perform cost and resource loading of schedules and generate cash flow projections.
  • Draft clear and concise schedule narratives to accompany baseline schedules.
  • Collaborate with project teams to perform schedule updates, identify impacts, and support accurate progress reporting.
  • Train staff in scheduling best practices and Primavera P6 usage.
  • Assist in delay analysis, development of recovery schedules, and resolution of project impacts.
  • Support change order and claims management processes.
  • Interface with Estimating, Operations, and Management to support project planning and execution.


Qualifications:
Required:
  • 7+ years of construction scheduling experience (or 10+ without a degree).
  • Expertise in Primavera P6.
  • Strong background in heavy civil infrastructure or self-perform construction.
  • Ability to independently read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to relocate to or work in Tampa, FL.
  • Able to travel up to 20%.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with Tilos or linear scheduling software.
  • Experience with design-build, P3, or joint venture projects.
  • Professional certifications such as PSP or PMI-SP.
  • P.E. license (preferred but not required).


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
    OR
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.


Additional Requirements:
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must pass post-offer drug screening.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments.
