Some of what you will do:
The Senior Consultant, Organizational & Leadership Development plays a pivotal role in ensuring Staples' success by effectively managing and optimizing our people and talent. They demonstrate exceptional communication, project management, and critical thinking abilities. The Senior Consultant, Organizational & Leadership Development, will enable Staples' talent strategy through the analysis, design, development, execution, facilitation, and measurement of organizational and leadership development programs. Specifically, they are responsible for managing talent assessment, talent planning, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives.
Specifically, You Will:
- Lead and manage Staples' talent assessment, succession planning, and high-potential leadership development initiatives.
- Design and manage the talent assessment process to identify high-potential leaders.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive succession planning framework for critical roles, implement strategies to mitigate trends around talent gaps, and support with ensuring continuity in critical roles.
- Generate executive-level presentations, training guides, communications, and all supporting materials related to talent reviews, high-potential development, critical roles, and succession planning.
- Lead and facilitate all organizational development and leadership programs, as needed, to ensure high quality execution of the overall O&LD strategy.
- Provide leadership and share insight and expertise to all O&LD programs and initiatives, as needed, to ensure a consistent approach and successful execution.
Some of what you need:
- Post-Secondary education in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
- Strong business acumen and collaborative style to build relationships and quickly gain credibility with key stakeholders across functional teams.
- 7-10 years of progressive combined experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, or a related field.
- Knowledge of talent assessment, succession planning, and high-potential development.
- Knowledge of change management theories, methodologies, and tools.
