Senior Controller

Amazing non-profit organization in San Francisco is seeking a skilled and mission driven Senior Controller to join their team. This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in office and 2 days remote. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Controller will oversee the accounting functions for all of the organizations affiliates and lead a staff of six.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $180,000 to $190,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all Accounting and Financial functions, as well as Asset Management.
• Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets and Asset Management functions for all affiliates.
• Manages third-party relationship with Property Management provider.
• Work collaboratively with CFO, Senior Controller - ECS, and Senior Director of Asset Management to develop, maintain, streamline and improve intercompany transactions and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.
• Produce monthly budget and prior year variance analyses.
• Collaborate with CFO and other stakeholders on design, controls and enhancement of systems with a focus on future needs and increased efficiencies.
• Collaborate with appropriate directors and coordinate details of annual financial audits, including preparation of supporting schedules for annual field work.

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting - advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years accounting experience - non-profit experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with government contracts
• NetSuite experience a plus
