Senior Controls Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead our controls engineering team and drive innovative solutions in robotics automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in control theory and software development, with a focus on designing and implementing advanced control systems for complex hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of control systems for robotic automation applications.
• Apply control theory principles to create efficient algorithms for feedback control and state estimation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control software with hardware systems.
• Conduct system identification and modeling for complex dynamic systems.
• Develop and implement sensor fusion techniques to enhance system performance.
• Utilize C++ and Python for control software development, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on controls engineering best practices.
• Test and validate control algorithms in real-world scenarios to ensure robustness and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in controls engineering, particularly in robotics automation.
• Strong knowledge of control theory, feedback control, and system identification.
• Proficient in C++ and Python programming; experience in Object Oriented Programming is a plus.
• Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS) and Linux environments.
• Experience in control system modeling and sensor fusion techniques.
