Summary: Prepares written in-depth credit analysis and underwriting for complex Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial loans. Under the direction of the Senior Credit Officer, the position would be responsible for the review and decisioning of credit requests within defined loan authority.

Summary: Prepares written in-depth credit analysis and underwriting for complex Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial loans. Under the direction of the Senior Credit Officer, the position would be responsible for the review and decisioning of credit requests within defined loan authority.
Job Functions:
- Spreads financial statements and prepares comprehensive financial analysis on the creditworthiness of the borrower and guarantors.
- Creates Pro-Forma analysis to assess the borrower/guarantors ability to repay current and proposed debt obligations.
- Prepares written analysis on large and complex lending relationships including preparation of the credit authorization package for SLC/DLC discussion.
- Fosters a strong working relationship with the Lenders and Portfolio Managers
- Provides recommendations on loan structure, loan monitoring and other lending related matters
- Makes recommendations on approval or declination of loan requests.
- Review appraisals and environmental reports.
- Provides guidance and acts as a resource to less experienced analysts
- Works with FIMAC analytic or other Stress testing software and prepares reports, as required
- Prepares periodic reports and studies on the loan portfolio for the benefit of Senior Management and Directorate, as needed.
- Serves as a back-up for the Senior Credit Officer
- Perform other tasks and assist in projects as needed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Advanced degree is preferable.
- Formal Bank Commercial Credit training
- Minimum of 6 years of Commercial/CRE lending/credit experience with 5+ years dedicated to commercial credit underwriting with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Knowledgeable of MS Office Suite programs, credit analysis software and core operating systems
- Knowledgeable in financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations state and federal.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skill in analysis and interpretation of business and individual financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows.
- Thorough understanding of commercial real estate project analysis, real estate appraisal reviews and environmental evaluation reviews.
- Ability to define problems, aggregate facts, draw valid conclusions and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Working knowledge of all applicable Bank products and services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, good organizational, interpersonal, communications and writing skills.
