POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you'll play a vital role on our Credit Team, working closely with departments across the organization to strengthen our credit underwriting program. This in-person position, based in our downtown Austin office (600 West 5th Street), offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and regulatory navigation while collaborating with lending teams to support sound credit decisions. WHAT WILL I DO?

Key highlights:
  • Analyze and assess financial data to evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, ensuring sound lending decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial spreads and credit analyses to managers and senior leadership, providing clear insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure risk integrity by reviewing loan risk ratings against the Bank's policies, identifying discrepancies, and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Evaluate credit packages for policy compliance, structural soundness, and potential credit weaknesses, proactively addressing risks.
  • Conduct annual credit reviews to confirm compliance with loan policy and maintain accurate risk assessments.
  • Deliver outstanding service by providing clear, professional support to both internal teams and customers through phone, written, and in-person communication.
  • Take the initiative by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the team's overall success.
  • Other duties as assigned and/or taken on.


AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

We are searching for professionals who have had proven success in their past careers, are self-motivated, and have a great attitude to join our team.

Specific requirements include:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another related field and 2+ years of direct industry experience in commercial credit, especially commercial real estate & banking C&I; or the equivalent combination of education and experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties of this position.
  • Experience in financial statement and tax return analysis.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Possess problem-solving capabilities, ability to work independently, and excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Understanding of credit policy and procedures.


Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with CASH Suite Software.
