Position Summary

The Senior Crude Scheduler works under limited supervision to effectively schedule and coordinate the movement of Utah waxy crude oil by truck and rail. A thorough understanding of crude oil logistics, midstream and product sales contracts is required. This position also requires strong communication and relationship building/maintaining skills.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manages and coordinates the movement of crude oil to designated downstream markets
  • Manages storage inventory at both the field and rail terminal levels
  • Nominates, confirms and balances flow volumes with service providers and purchasers
  • Works closely with field personnel and rail logistics consultants to gather information, calculate, and coordinate delivery by truck to refineries and rail terminals
  • Monitors drilling activity and field production rates to optimize oil delivery
  • Tracks and evaluates refinery turnround schedules, terminal outages and maintenance
  • Resolves delivery issues due to weather or other operational events
  • Reconciles truck, rail terminal and related invoices and delivery confirmations for accuracy
  • Resolves problems and answers questions pertaining to scheduling, invoicing and revenue accruals
  • Manages proving schedule and frequency with field personnel
  • Accurately tracks and maintains all Utah crude oil and condensate movements
  • Ensures oil movement, measurement and sale documentation is received and provides settlement data to Revenue Accounting for monthly invoice preparation
  • Identifies issues and develops, recommends, and implements solutions to maximize performance and effective delivery
  • Conducts business safely and with the highest ethical standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Computer/Software Applications

Advanced level of skill and knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Competent in the knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Ability to swiftly grasp company and role-specific software

Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills

Competent understanding of flow volumes and knowledge of oil and condensate. Understanding of patterns, correlations, and trends to support decisions. High level of critical thinking and ability to analyze data.

Typical Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field required.

Typical Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Oil and Gas industry experience. Crude oil scheduling experience required. Marketing/commercial oil experience beneficial.

Schedule: Hybrid. In the office Tuesday-Thursday, with opportunity to work remotely Monday and Friday.

Salary Range: $125,000 To $150,000 (USD) annually
