Health Intelligence Company, LLC dba Blue Health Intelligence seeks a Senior Data Engineer in Chicago, IL.

Duties: Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines to process large volumes of structured and unstructured healthcare data. Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business and technical objectives. Develop and implement data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across various healthcare datasets. Establish and enforce data engineering best practices, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security regulations specific to the healthcare industry. Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve the data infrastructure and drive innovation. Telecommuting permitted within MSA.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 6 years of experience as a Database Engineer, Software Technologist, or a related role. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4 years of experience as a Database Engineer, Software Technologist, or a related role.

Requires 3 years with the following skills:
Designing and implementing cloud data solutions in Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Building batch-oriented pipelines in Databricks, Amazon EMR (Elastic MapReduce) or another Spark platform to process data at scale.
Data modeling and data warehousing fundamentals, including the design of star schemas.
Structured query language (SQL).
Python, Scala, or Java.
