Description
  • Develop and maintain the modern cloud native data and analytics solutions and pipelines to help with data driven decisions.
  • Design and build data provisioning workflows/pipelines, physical data schemas, extracts, data transformations, cloud native solutions and data integrations.
  • Design and build data architecture and applications that enable reporting, analytics, data science, and data management and improve accessibility, efficiency, governance, processing, and quality of data.
  • Collaborate with the Agile development team to design, develop, and implement data and analytical solutions using modern cloud native, API first technology stack.
  • Collaborate with development team in building Innovative, API first, cloud native solutions using AWS platform, Snowflake, Snaplogic, Power-BI/Dash, Python, and Rest API.
  • Continually enhance full delivery pipeline through automation, expanded yet increasingly efficient test coverage, ultimately optimizing time-to-market and quality.
  • Optimize and tune existing data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Mentor new or junior team members and participate in code reviews.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
Qualifications
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Data Engineer-related occupation.
Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
  • Data engineering with focus on designing and building data pipelines.
  • Proficient in SQL and hands on experience with Python.
  • Data modeling and data warehousing.
  • Public cloud data platforms including AWS and/or Azure.
  • AWS Services including but not limited to AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS EC2.
  • Proficient with ETL/ELT data pipelines, patterns for loading Data Warehouses, and Lakes.
  • Build/deploy automation & DevOps frameworks including CI/CD, Bamboo/Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and pipeline-as-code.
  • Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
