We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Integration Architect to join our Information Systems team within the Enterprise Architecture organization. In this role, you will focus on APIs, application/data integrations, and system modernization. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing integration strategies, developing high-quality solutions, and ensuring alignment with our technology and governance standards. As a core member of our team, you will work on strategic initiatives, contribute to building patterns and reference architectures, and establish technology standards. Your efforts will be instrumental in ensuring that Zions' applications and solutions deliver maximum business value.

The Solution Architect will:
- Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive architectural solutions that achieve business objectives, considering both current and future state capabilities.
- Establish API security standards and governance around authentication, authorization, and encryption to protect data integrity and privacy.
- Ensure solutions adhere to API security standards and governance, focusing on authentication, authorization, and encryption to ensure the highest levels of data integrity and privacy.
- Collaborate with application development teams to identify and establish the most suitable technologies and tools while providing guidance on the use of products, services, and systems.
- Define principles, architecture patterns, and standards to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and managers to ensure a robust architectural runway that supports evolving business requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Represent IT at project inception and assist in creating business cases and preparing project funding proposals, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Assist Business Analysts and System Owners in defining technology and non-functional requirements for solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with integration technologies including API management, messaging/streaming, file transfer, integration gateways, and complex integration techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills related to information architecture concepts, enabling well-architected and integrated transactional, analytical, and collaborative systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/science, management information systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an architect, actively promoting and utilizing industry best practice architectural patterns in designs and implementations. - Expertise in authentication and authorization frameworks, such as OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JSON Web Tokens (JWT), to ensure secure access controls and data protection.
- Able to work hands-on to build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate architectural solution patterns meet business and technical requirements.
- In-depth understanding of application development technologies and languages, and how they can be deployed using pipeline automation.
- Excellence in written, verbal, and presentation skills when working with business leaders, project management teams, and technical experts at all levels.
- Ability to listen for understanding, resolve conflicts, negotiate, compromise, and collaboratively lead business leaders and project teams to optimal solutions.
- Preference for candidates with modeling languages (e.g., ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML), experience migrating on-premises systems to the cloud and those with banking/financial services experience.
