Senior Data Ops Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to collaborate with various stakeholders and deliver analytical and reporting solutions. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and implementing data engineering processes, as well as analyzing and preparing data for data science-based outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and the ability to drive automation and improvements across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, influencing decisions to align with customer goals.
• Design, develop, test, and implement data engineering processes to generate analytical and reporting solutions.
• Analyze and prepare the data needed for data science-based outcomes.
• Manage and maintain metadata structures and provide necessary support as needed.
• Demonstrate domain expertise and develop and execute program plans, proactively soliciting feedback from stakeholders to identify improvement actions.
• Leverage the platform and core module analytics & algorithms, with a strong engineering and analytics background.
• Responsible for the overall design, documentation, maintenance, and translation of business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Identify and lead the automation of repetitive processes to minimize errors and maximize service delivery.
• Partner with users and the product team to understand their data product operational needs, translating these into a support model for billing products.
• Track KPIs to communicate operational status to users and leadership.

Technical Expertise:

• Knowledge of cloud formation.
• Experience with data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and architecture.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• A passion for staying updated with the latest trends and industry advancements.
• Comfort with ambiguity.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, OR
• Associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, OR
• High School Diploma with a minimum of 9 years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional cloud platforms or data technologies is a plus.
• Experience in automation of data engineering processes.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or data engineering are a plus.
