Senior Data Steward Position Requirement: MUST BE A US CITIZEN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS A DATA STEWARD WITH PERFORMING THIS ROLE AT THE NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY REQUIRED Locations: Springfield, VA
Job Type: Full-Time Employee Overview: Successful candidates will demonstrate experience as a Data Steward and in-depth understanding of GEOINT integration, data steward standards, and data integrity principles; a strong understanding of structured observation management (SOM) and activity-based management (ABM) knowledge capture principles. Duties: Applying data steward policies and standards, and data integrity principles; a strong understanding of structured observation management (SOM) and activity based management (ABM) knowledge capture principles; Possess technical expertise in the integration of data definition and ontology concepts for GEOINT analytics; strong leadership competencies, with emphasis on cooperation and team building within and across organizational boundaries; knowledge of foundational GEOINT data and related standards, strong communications skills using verbal, written, and visual methods; knowledge/skills in use of ArcGIS and extensions. Provide data standards guidance and support across analysis and the NSG Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to analysis directorate for structured data, EDM support and ontology Optimize existing databases to speed up the query, input, export, and visualization of data Apply standard business applications software for presentations, word processing, and especially spreadsheets to be able to interrelate and effectively present geospatial data standards and metrics Perform research, contribute to preparation of analysis / technical reports, publications, graphics, and maintain hard / soft copy files Create and maintain databases, summary data, spreadsheets, graphics documents, maintain Intelink and Sharepoint web sites Adapt existing software applications, tools and data to meet new requirements Build complex formulas within Excel to quickly extract data from large spreadsheets Build and document custom solutions (tools, processes, etc.) that adhere to enterprise architectural standards to automate or assist analytic endeavors Apply knowledge and skills necessary to edit, merge and/or conflate geospatial data using GIS systems and extensions (e.g. ESRI) Required Skills and Experience: 3-4 years of experience with workflow management systems, such as Flowable, and 3 -4 years of experience and working knowledge of Maplnfo/ MapBasic GIS/ database software. Minimum of 3 years of experience and working knowledge of ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcPro Demonstrated knowledge and experience in data mining, cleansing, and exploring spatial, temporal, and non-spatial data in both structured and unstructured formats. Experience common data science libraries and frameworks, plus: PostgreSQL, Postgis, PgAdmin Application programming interfaces (APls)
