CloudFit is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database management, ETL processes, data warehousing, and migrating databases from on-premises to cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of performance tuning and optimization techniques to ensure the highest level of database performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage robust database solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration
- Architect and optimize data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics
- Lead database migration projects from on-premises to cloud platforms
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of database systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of database solutions
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database engineers
What makes you the perfect fit for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in database management and administration
- Expertise in ETL processes and data warehousing
- Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects
- Strong knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Proficiency in MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and SQL databases
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Some nice haves (but not required):
- Experience with additional database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or Redis
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting
