Caterpillar Inc. seeks Senior Design Engineer at its facility located at 875 W. Cushing Street, Tucson, AZ 85745. Draw support from internal and external suppliers, form teams, provide design leadership, and at times represent primary efforts focused on ensuring designs meet requirements. Guide design concepts, lead design reviews, review and support CPI. Design and validate components and kits for New Product Introduction (NPI) Programs. Design of Light Fabrications, Hydraulic Systems, and Electrical Systems. Responsible for the maintenance and support of designs. Support Continuous Product Process Development (CPPD) Team representing MTES and command for hauling. Review and approve design deviations. Work with team members to develop solutions to problems. Design light fabrication brackets and electrical harnesses and cables. Then he will be detailing them and releasing them, so the drawings can be sent to supplier for the parts to be manufactured. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Plus 3 years of experience in product design or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) 3 years of experience with Creo and Team Center systems for design work; (2) 3 years of experience using VisMockup; (3) Executing projects requiring technical analysis or applying analytical processes to solution development; (4) NPI process; (5) Designing light fabrications, hydraulic systems, electrical routings, and schematics; (6) Virtual Product Development tools and/or resources to solve product design problems such as Finite Element Analysis; (7) Applying automation and information technologies to machines; and (8) Designing kits or hardware in support of technology products. Telecommuting: 2 days/week.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
