We are seeking a candidate for the position of senior design manager to lead the graphic design function for the marketing department. This position reports to the VP of digital marketing. It will begin as an individual contributor position with the potential to manage graphic and video production colleagues as the department grows.
Responsibilities:
- Own the visual brand for the company and all creative that falls under that umbrella, ensuring that it engages our audience as effectively as possible.
- Create an annual visual strategy and theme for Riskonnect in-person events, collaborating with the field and product teams to differentiate our brand and reinforce our go-to-market strategy.
- Serve as the design and production manager for the marketing team, designing marketing assets from concept to final production for use in digital properties, campaigns, or other marketing and corporate initiatives.
- Lead design-and-revision processes that often involve multiple trial versions of a concept, followed by revisions according to direction provided by stakeholders, and final atomization for diverse media as needed
- Collaborate with the digital marketing manager(s) on the company's video and social media programs, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of visual quality.
- Proactively analyze visual aspects of the Riskonnect digital presence using engagement analytics to determine where visual improvements should be made. Collaborate with other digital marketing stakeholders to create a brand maturity strategy that builds out consistent improvements.
- Ensure the brand consistency of all digital assets (both Riskonnect assets and assets of newly acquired companies) and create own a prioritized timeline for asset refreshing.
- Provide guidance to Riskonnect employees and contractors who contribute to graphic and video assets, helping to mentor them and build their skills as necessary.
- Learn related skills as required, such as video editing and CSS template-building.
- Be willing to work against tight deadlines and collaborate with stakeholders outside the marketing department as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of graphic design experience
- Self-directed functional area owner with experience building out digital content programs
- Demonstrates extreme attention to detail, with error-free results, as well as the ability to deliver and receive constructive feedback
- Possess expert knowledge of graphic design methods, especially typography, layout, and production methods
- Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Creative Suite
- Fluency in videography and video editing a plus
- Fluency with HTML and CSS, experience with CSS-based marketing automation templates a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on PowerPoint design
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks appropriately
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders outside the department
