Senior DevOps Engineer

The Swift Group is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who specializes in containerization to support the goal of creating an environment that can host multiple micro services that can be used independently or combined together for additional triaging of unstructured data. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing container technologies such as Docker.
• Demonstrated knowledge of container management platforms or container runtimes such as Kubernetes (OpenShift, Rancher, etc) and Helm.
• Demonstrated experience developing from prototype to containerized service.
• Demonstrated experience designing or architecting new ways to develop containers.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building capabilities within a micro service architecture.
• Demonstrated experience preparing detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operational and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language and writing or contributing to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
• Demonstrated experience conducting trial runs of program and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.
• Demonstrated experience compiling and writing documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instruction so others can understand the program.
• Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
• Demonstrated experience working with Version Control Systems such as Git.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications within a hybrid on-premises and cloud (such as AWS) environment.
• Demonstrated experience in high level computer programming languages such as Java or Python.
• Demonstrated experience working with Linux Servers.
• HS Diploma
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in REST API's.
• Demonstrated experience using and maintaining Lucene search engines such as Elasticsearch
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based services such AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EventBridge).
• Demonstrated research and development experience with details on progression of ideas to production systems.
• Demonstrated experience working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools and workflows such as Gitlab, Jenkins, RunDeck, etc
• Demonstrated experience integration capabilities with Enterprise Authentication/Authorization (AuthN/AuthZ) services.
