Overview

Zonos is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior DevOps Engineer to drive the evolution of our cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives. This senior role will oversee the scalability, security, and performance of our systems while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have the option of working a regular day schedule (8 AM - 5 PM MST) or an alternative shift (2 PM - 10 PM MST) to provide coverage for the APAC region.

What you will do...

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth.
• Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services.
• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of applications through proactive monitoring and incident response.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Security teams to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Optimize cloud costs and resource allocation to align with business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous innovation.
• Advocate for DevOps best practices across the organization to improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and enforce security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Enhance CI/CD workflows leveraging tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines.

• Have 7+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
• Are proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Are experienced in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Are a strong communicator and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Have a proactive approach to monitoring, observability, and incident management.
• Excel at managing secure network access and IAM policies within AWS.
• Have strong expertise in Linux system administration and database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Possess extensive experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.

• $133-$200k Actual salaries will vary based on various factors such as education, experience, training, scope, etc. The salary noted is just one component of our total compensation package.
