Position Overview

Infinity is seeking Digital Engineering support for the Timber MILSATCOM contract. This position requires a deep understanding of digital architecture and the ability to integrate various technologies to create seamless workflows. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements and develop innovative solutions that meet mission needs. This digital systems engineering role will contribute to the demonstration of key capabilities and progress towards meeting overall program milestones through the creation of digital engineering models as well as supporting customer engagements with digital engineering tools and methods.

Primary Responsibilities

The Senior Digital Systems Engineer will provide digital engineering support to the Architecture team with NC3 mission, International Partner, protected SATCOM, XDR waveform, and/or AEHF User terminal experience to create, update, and deliver digital engineering artifacts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Advance the digital engineering master plan and develop the program's digital twins.
  • Providing inputs to Ground risks and trade spaces.
  • Offering innovative thinking to design new ground-breaking technology in the areas of program digital engineering and digital threads.
  • Seamlessly integrating systems engineering methodologies and digital engineering artifacts via Cameo modeling to provide a comprehensive view of the technical and programmatic details.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have 6-10 years of relevant Digital Systems Engineering experience including experience with SysML, MBSE methods, and tools such as Cameo applying frameworks including DoDAF/UAF.
  • Experience with creating executable MBSE models that integrate with analytical tools.
  • Ability to develop, model, and communicate mission CONOPS and Use Cases.
  • Experience with common scripting languages (i.e., Apache Groovy, JavaScript, Python, C++, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with an ability to collaborate positively in a geographically dispersed team environment with people of different levels of experience and education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities and analytical thinking.


Preferred Qualifications
  • MILSATCOM experience, to include Milstar and AEHF.
  • Familiarity with specific Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), development methodologies, and practices.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and practices including mission thread/use case development, requirements decomposition and management, verification and validation, configuration management, and operational deployment.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering activities to achieve an exceptional end product.


Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field is preferred.
