The Harlem Globetrotters is seeking a seasoned professional with a background in media and/or sports to contribute to the Brand Marketing Team. Must bring passion, expertise and a collaborative approach to developing and executing strategic marketing, partnership and event plans with excellence. Must have digital/social marketing experience. Reports To: Bronwen O'Keefe, Head of Brand Marketing and Content

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Partnerships: Source and manage strategic partners who bring new consumer touchpoints. Develop and execute holistic strategy for each partner, inclusive of goals and KPI's. Ensure all internal stakeholders are aligned and communication is consistently flowing.
  • Event Design and Activation: Develop and execute experiential events including CSR activations, plus up markets, brand events, etc. Partner will all relevant stakeholder to ensure alignment on goals, KPI's and budget.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility : Develop and execute strategy for our CSR initiative. Source new partners and keep potential sponsorship and/or new touchpoints opportunity front of mind when evaluating prospective partners. Develop partnership structure and roll out plan. Manage existing partners, strategies and execution.
  • Oversight of Digital/Social Strategy and Implementation : Oversee development and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Ensure we are driving revenue through key KPI's across digital and social. Ensure digital/social strategies are integrated into wholistic marketing campaigns and that brand voice is consistent across all consumer touchpoints. Manage the flow of data and analytics into regular reporting.
  • Project Budget Oversight : Oversee project budgets for Strategic Partnerships, CSR, and Events; partner with Insights and Analytics to inform strategic planning decisions and optimizations. Execute projects with excellence - through winning work flows/process and elevated brand vision
  • Team Collaboration: Provide support and strategic thinking as part of Brand Marketing team for marketing plans that drive revenue (tickets, merch, CP, sponsorship, etc). Assist leadership in building the annual brand plans by supporting with data, insights, and reporting to help understand business performance and formulate actions and budgets for improvement. Develop marketing briefs, positioning, key messaging, deliverables, timelines and budgets for projects. Oversee projects to ensure cross-functional collaboration and execution.


  • Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or event management

    EXPERIENCE
    • 8+ years of marketing or related experience
    • Experience working with multiple partners to achieve strategic goals
    • Experience successfully launching a marketing campaign for a product, service or event
    • Experience with building, executing and integrating digital and social into marketing campaigns.
    • Sports, Entertainment, Marketing Agency background a plus

    SKILLS
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and prioritize accordingly
    • A positive and proactive attitude and the ability to be a self-starter
    • Strong communication, cross-group collaboration, organization and planning skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

    OTHER
    • Percent of Travel: 20-30%
