You will work in close partnership with the Assistant Athletic Director, Development and Executive Senior Associate Athletic Officer/Chief Development Officer to manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects and donors, develop prospect management teams and actively participate in pipeline and principal gift strategy meetings. Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
Minimum five years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, preferably in intercollegiate athletics fundraising and/or prior professional experience in a related field such as sales, marketing or business development. (Required) Experience in and strong documented record of gifts solicited and closed in the annual, special and/or major gifts range and/or solicitations of a similar nature, level and complexity. (Required) Prior experience with principal gifts is highly desired. (Preferred) Prior experience in and/or ability to develop sophisticated strategies in planning, implementing and administering major gift solicitations or other solicitations of a similar nature, level and complexity. (Required) Prior experience conceptualizing, planning and implementing events. (Required) Working knowledge of the principles and practices of major gift fundraising and various planned giving mechanisms at a major research university or institution of equal complexity. (Required) Demonstrated knowledge of critical issues in collegiate athletics and familiarity with terminology associated with athletics, fundraising and ticketing. (Required) Strong communication skills to express both orally and in writing, the mission of the University and the fundraising goals of the campus, especially as they relate to the Department of Athletics. (Required) Strong written communication skills and experience developing proposals and giving persuasive presentations. (Required) Interpersonal skills to build relationships and work harmoniously with a wide variety of internal/external constituents. (Required) Collaborative skills and experience engaging and bringing key stakeholders - athletic directors, chief executives, donors, leadership volunteers, board members, coaches, etc. - into the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship process. (Required) Ability to be proactive, work independently and accept responsibility; adept at establishing priorities and managing workflow to fulfill objectives and meet goals according to deadlines in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision. (Required) Impeccable integrity and discretion in dealing with donors, and other stakeholders/constituents and in the handling and maintenance of confidential donor files/information. (Required) Engaged, focused and goal oriented with a high level of initiative and energy; resilient with ability to maintain an optimistic outlook. (Required) Proficiency in Microsoft programs is required as is familiarity with CRM platforms and other applications, programs and databases as needed with a willingness to learn new technologies. (Required) Ability to adhere to and comply with NCAA, Big Ten and University rules and regulations; or equivalent compliance experience. (Required)

Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. CANRA: The position is designated as a mandatory reporter under CANRA.
