Position Summary:
The Sr. Director, Market Research, will be responsible for developing a comprehensive market research plan, leading the execution of market research projects for the Crinetics portfolio and delivering associated insights to the broader commercial organization and executive leadership. This functional leader will also be charged with integrating primary market research results with other data analysis, quantitative studies, and information to derive key insights that inform commercial strategies, globally.

Compensation Total Rewards:
In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. The salary range for this position is: $226,000 - $282,000.

- Create a thorough, global market research plan to support key strategic and tactical decisions for the Crinetics portfolio.
- Lead market research efforts, including epidemiology, treatment flow, qualitative or quantitative demand/market share, segmentation, positioning/messaging, future treatment paradigms, etc.
- Oversee the conduct of global market research studies in a collaborative manner ensuring that perspectives of all team members and partners are considered in crafting the content of discussion guides, surveys, etc. and the study methodology is appropriate to deliver reliable results.
- Ensure that the conclusions and implications drawn from market research studies are objective, sound, relevant to the underlying business questions, supported by data, and communicated effectively to cross-functional teams and commercial leadership.
- Sustain comprehensive organizational knowledge regarding competitive trends, health care environmental influences and investment performance against various marketing channels.
- Become a trusted partner collaborating and influencing brand strategy to drive performance.
- Identify qualified suppliers to conduct global market research studies and manage the process to engage suppliers for needed studies in a cost-effective manner and compliant with industry and company standards & policies.
- Provide direction, coaching, counsel, and advisement to market research team members while supporting their professional development.
- Ensure all marketing research activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15+ years of Pharmaceutical Commercial Analytics/Data Management experience.
- Minimum of 10+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Expert understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies with an ability to synthesize outputs into actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of all stages of the buying process; ability to highlight commercial opportunities and gaps.
- Possess a curiosity and openness to new insight methodologies and a drive to create the toolkit to better serve the business.
- Experience in pharmaceutical situation analysis and brand planning.
- Ability to lead and partner well with internal stakeholders Forecasting, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Competitive Intelligence, Global Product Teams, Compliance, and Legal.
- Possess a strong understanding of industry secondary data and syndicated sources and their strengths and weaknesses.
- Competency in navigating large volumes of information to synthesize what is most important and actionable.
- Excellent communication and ability to consolidate and present key findings to relevant parties.
