Role Overview
The Senior Director, Managed Services Discipline Lead is responsible for the vision, growth, and execution of our managed services offerings across industry verticals and technology stacks. This role combines strategic consulting expertise with delivery operations to ensure excellence across all managed engagements-from AI/ML platforms to digital workplace services and beyond.
As a discipline leader, you will define the service portfolio, develop the team, refine go-to-market strategies, and ensure consistent client delivery across a mix of short-term and multi-year engagements. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Delivery, and Practice teams to create scalable, high-value service offerings while mentoring a team of seasoned managers and consultants.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Service Innovation
- Define the managed services strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned to the firm's broader consulting growth goals.
- Evolve Launch's managed services portfolio across Cloud, Data, Applications, and AI/ML platforms.
- Partner with Go-To-Market and Industry teams to tailor services for vertical-specific needs (e.g., healthcare, finance, energy).
Operational Excellence & Delivery Oversight
- Oversee delivery across multiple managed service engagements ensuring SLAs, KPIs, and client satisfaction are met or exceeded.
- Drive operational maturity through adoption of ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
- Serve as executive sponsor for complex or strategic accounts, supporting account growth and stakeholder relationships.
Growth & Business Development
- Support pre-sales and proposal development, including pricing models, SOW creation, and solutioning for managed services opportunities.
- Identify white space opportunities in existing accounts and develop new service-led offerings in partnership with consulting practices.
- Influence revenue and margin targets through portfolio growth, resource optimization, and efficient delivery structures (onshore/offshore/hybrid).
Talent Development & Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a cross-functional team of service managers, engineers, and consultants across geographies.
- Foster a high-performing culture grounded in accountability, innovation, and career development.
- Create scalable processes for onboarding, training, and upskilling talent aligned to evolving technologies and client demands.
Qualifications
Required
- 12+ years in consulting, managed services, or technology delivery leadership roles.
- Deep expertise in at least one of the following domains: Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data Platforms, Intelligent Automation, Application Management, or AI/ML Operations.
- Proven experience leading P&L or portfolio with revenue responsibility of $15M+.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling managed services delivery models (including 24x7 support, service desks, and offshore coordination).
- Familiarity with ITIL, SRE, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent client-facing and executive communication skills, with comfort navigating enterprise stakeholder environments.
Preferred
- Experience at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, Accenture, EY, Slalom, Launch, etc.).
- PMP, ITIL, or SAFe certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
