Fleet Landing continues to grow and we are looking for a dynamic food and beverage professional to lead our Dining and Culinary services teams. With our latest $120M expansion project, we are serving Residents, employees, and guests across 13 bold and cutting-edge restaurants and dining outlets! The Director of Food & Beverage will manage and lead a professional team of hospitality managers, culinarians, and dietitians, while adding new innovation to our campus wide dining and culinary programs. Fleet Landing features fine dining, pubs, casual fare, a first of its kind food truck, a staff and Resident marketplace, farmers markets, an upscale coffee house, a grab-n-go program, open-kitchen grill, wine dinners and tastings, poolside barbecue's, formal events and more...what can YOU add to the mix?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and directs campus food and beverage operations, including but not limited to independent living dining rooms, health center/assisted living dining venues, all kitchens, bar areas, coffee shop, food truck, and catering and banquet operations.
  • Oversees and provides visionary, compassionate, and values-based leadership for the food and beverage departments, including Executive Chefs and Dining Room Managers/Supervisors.
  • Continues to elevate the community's reputation as a national model for dining innovation and premier-level hospitality services.
  • Must be professional in every aspect and good at communications as the position is highly visible to Residents.
  • Conceptualizes, plans and executes the successful opening of new venues, in accordance with budgeted guidelines and timelines.
  • Controls costs of all food and beverage outlets by overseeing budgeting and purchasing of food, beverages, supplies and equipment; efficient manpower planning and scheduling; maintaining effective inventory and shortage controls; tracking expenses utilizing spend down tool.
  • Maintains Resident satisfaction and staff productivity by handling their inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions; acquiring feedback from Residents and co-workers in order to ensure satisfaction and/or implement service improvement ideas; developing new concepts to increase Resident and Staff satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and that food and beverage inspections yield positive results; establishes protocols for addressing concerns/deficiencies and puts parameters in place to monitor future compliance.
  • Shows integrity and ethical behavior, in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of Fleet Landing.
  • Position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer


Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree required, Serve Safe certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-outlet Food & Beverage operation in a similar environment. Previous Senior Living or Healthcare experience preferred, along with proven experience in a high-end service environment. Opening experience, a plus. Passion for serving Residents and Staff a must! Must have excellent written and verbal management skills and ability to coach/mentor staff.
