Hooker Furnishings Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Director of IT Infrastructure to be responsible for the performance, scalability, availability, and security of enterprise infrastructure across a multi-site furniture manufacturing organization. Celebrating over 100 years in business, Hooker Furnishings is a leading designer, marketer, and importer of case goods, leather furniture, and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality, and contract markets.
Position Summary
The Senior Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations is a strategic, hands-on technology leader that will ensure seamless operations across data centers, cloud platforms, and end-user environments while driving high availability and operational resilience. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure standardization, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation within distributed industrial environments. This position will report to our VP of Enterprise Systems and Applications and manage a team of 3-4 IT professionals.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise networking, infrastructure standardization, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation within distributed industrial environments. This position will report to our VP of Enterprise Systems and Applications and manage a team of 3-4 IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Infrastructure & Network Strategy
- Architect and manage LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and internet services across all sites.
- Administer firewalls and secure remote access (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto).
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and standardization across all infrastructure.
Infrastructure Operations Leadership
- Manage on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS).
- Lead proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and incident alerting tools.
- Execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Cybersecurity, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity
- Implement layered defenses and endpoint protection.
- Oversee VPN, access controls, and secure authentication.
- Maintain audit readiness and DR documentation.
Operational and Strategic Excellence
- Track KPIs for uptime, performance, and recovery.
- Manage vendor relationships and infrastructure procurement.
- Lead infrastructure programs supporting growth, M&A, and facility expansion.
Team and Stakeholder Leadership
- Build and mentor high-performance teams.
- Serve as strategic IT infrastructure partner to the business.
- Educate stakeholders on best practices in infrastructure and DR/BC.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications
- Cisco (CCNP, CCIE), ITIL, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Trend Micro (Deep Security, Apex One), or equivalent.
