JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Nursing administers (SDON), directs, and coordinates all clinical activities for multiple Family First Home Care branch offices within the assigned geographic area. In conjunction with direct leadership, the SDON is responsible for leading the delivery of quality clinical services, ensures training for all Directors of Nursing (DON) Clinical Managers, and field clinicians will be standardized, comprehensive and effective. When a DON is not available in an assigned location, the SDON will act as DON until the position is filled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with the Senior Director of Operations (SDOO) in identifying, interviewing, and onboarding of clinical staff and field clinicians
Provides leadership, training, guidance and mentoring to clinical staff within assigned area
Complies with applicable laws and regulations
Collaborates with the Family First leadership teams and the Compliance committee in identifying, developing, and the delivery of consistent clinical information
Implement governing body directives and ensure the implementation of organizational policies and procedures, as well as the development and implementation of appropriate clinical policies
Implement governing body directives and organizational policies and procedures
Establish and maintain effective channels of communication
Ensures that the competency program is followed and provides educational support for the clinicians as needed for skills development
Promotes employee engagement and retention
Oversees the quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI) program for each assigned office
Identifies clinical and quality metrics trends and ensures that appropriate corrective action is implemented
Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all plans of correction and quality initiatives
Performs on-site office assessments as directed by clinical leadership
Completes performance evaluations on subordinate staff in accordance with Agency policy
Partners with the Senior Director of Operations (SDOO) to lead cohesive teams towards common goals
Attends and/or completes all mandatory training/in-services as assigned
Adheres to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations
Maintains patient and family confidentiality
May be required to assists with acquisition and Integration activities as needed
Maintains professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills
Performs other duties as assigned

ROLE QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
RN Nursing Degree. Unencumbered RN License in the state of employment or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact where recognized.
Registered Nurse with at least five (5) years of clinical management experience and two (2) years of supervisory experience
Forward thinker with the ability to be creative and "think outside the box"
Working knowledge of home care regulatory and federal requirements
Excellent organization, problem-solving, decision-making, presentation and communication skills
Possess outstanding leadership, teaching and training skills
Proven customer service skills, sound independent judgement, initiative, and solid organization/time management skills
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel 75% to Family First office locations and patient homes throughout designated area
Valid driver license with proof of insurance.
Clear background screening.
Must provide valid and current CPR card/certificate that includes in person instructor led hands-on skills check.

PREFERRED
Bachelor's or higher degree in nursing or equivalent
Proof of completion of HIV/AIDS training

WORKING CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USE
Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines.
It is primarily a desk job which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication.
It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts.
Travel may be required by car or airplane to local, out-of-town, or state seminars, conferences or meetings.
Must ability to read 12 point and larger type, communicate clearly and be able to hear adequately on the telephone with no more than an amplifier.
Must be able to use a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other office equipment.

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Family First Homecare have a corresponding compensation plan which may include a bonus at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

KEY DETAILS

**This position requires the employee to work in the office Monday through Friday during core business hours.** Core business hours are typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some flexibility with start and end times.
