SUMMARY
The Sr. Director, Programs leads the Program Divisions in pursuit of excellence in customer satisfaction, program performance (cost, schedule and technical), and overall contract execution. The Sr. Director, Programs cultivates and sustains customer relationships, oversees proposal strategy and content, and leads contract negotiations; and is supported by Program Directors.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cultivates and sustains customer relationships:
- Accountable for customer communications, specifically weekly status emails
- Leads on-site customer meetings
- Leads contract negotiation strategy
- Leads team in pursuit of excellence in program performance (cost, schedule and technical):
- Accountable for delivery on customer commitments
- Provides business, technical and/or strategic leadership
- Regularly monitors cost, schedule and technical status of all programs
- Accountable for financial, schedule and technical performance of all programs
- Oversees proposal strategy and content:
- Leads proposal strategy to ensure contract award and program success
- Stays closely aligned with corporate business development strategy
- Leads proposal team including engineers and contracts to ensure that proposals are compliant, complete and, technically and financially rigorous
- Accountable for portfolio probability of win
- Cultivates a healthy work environment and develops and fosters career growth of team
- Effectively collaborates with other divisions and departments for our customers, personnel and/or company
- Seeks company growth through leadership of company strategic initiatives, and coordination with senior leadership
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Required education: Bachelor's degree
- Preferred education: B.S. in Engineering or Related Science or Field
- Required experience:
- 10+ years in space and defense industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead contract negotiations
- Experienced in cultivating and maintaining customer relationships in the space and defense industry
- Proficient in the strategy and preparation of compliant and robust proposals
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.
