Your role: We are seeking an innovative and inspiring Team Head of Real-World Data (RWD) Methodologies and Solutions to lead a team of experts driving excellence in RWD strategy, partnerships, methodologies, advanced analytics, real-world insights (RWI) and real-world evidence (RWE). Reporting to the Global Head of Patient Focused Real World Evidence (PRWE) as a member of the leadership team, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic use of RWD across therapeutic areas to enhance decision-making and enable value-creating integrated evidence plans. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the future of evidence generation and contribute to the development of innovative therapies that transform patient outcomes globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Vision and Implementation: Develop and execute a forward-thinking strategy to leverage RWD for faster, more precise insights and evidence generation, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • RWD Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage external partnerships to support RWD acquisition, integration, and operationalization, ensuring scalability and regulatory alignment.
  • Methodological Leadership: Establish and implement best practices for generating actionable RWI (Insights) and RWE (Evidence) using state-of-the-art methodologies and analytics including machine learning and AI.
  • Solution Development: Drive the creation of innovative tools and platforms that streamline evidence generation while adhering to compliance and quality standards.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Lead cross-functional training programs to enhance organizational capabilities in leveraging RWD, fostering innovation and adaptability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with PRWE, CMS, R&D and broader Healthcare teams to ensure integrated and high-quality RWD support across programs.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of experts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • External Engagement: Represent the organization at industry conferences, regulatory workshops, and external collaborations to advance RWD methodologies and applications.


Who you are

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data Science, or related fields.
  • 12+ years of experience in RWD partnerships, methodologies, RWE generation, and advanced analytics and systems in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Expertise in statistical programming (e.g., R, SAS, Python) and working with diverse RWD sources, including EHRs, claims data, and patient-reported outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, payer and HTA bodies requirements and industry standards for RWD and RWE.
  • Excellent strategic, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through collaboration, adaptability, and attention to detail while meeting time-sensitive demands.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Enhance RWD applications for hybrid and innovative studies.
  • Develop methodologies and frameworks for RWE synthesis to support regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Lead efforts to improve data interoperability and integration across diverse RWD sources.
