JOB SUMMARY:

Provides leadership and direction for the programs and services associated with Resident Services. Provides supervision to the Pathways to Wellness Manager, Resident Care Coordinator, Wellness Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Pastoral Services, Transportation and Social Services. Leads an interdisciplinary team in providing unique opportunities for personal growth, life enrichment and self-expression for the White Horse Village community while assisting residents and their families to ensure a smooth transition to the White Horse Village community, to maximize independence and provide support.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Oversees the programming component of the Resident Services department which includes, but is not limited to outings, in house programs, events, and creative expression programming.
  • Provides semi-annual strategic planning and leads monthly operational programming that supports our (10) Domains of Wellbeing in Independent Living. Supports Rec Therapy in their learning & development around the Pathways to Wellness philosophy and actively works with them to ensure their neighborhoods have a well-rounded approach to our Wellbeing Domains in each neighborhood.
  • Oversees Wellness Services which includes group/individual fitness, cardio/aerobics and aquatics programming in the Pathways to Wellness Building.
  • Monitors the monthly development of the Independent Living programming calendar utilizing in-house and community resources in conjunction with the Activities Committee and Pathways to Wellness Steering Committee and individual preferences to meet the needs and interests of all residents.
  • Oversees Ancillary Services which includes Transportation.
  • Oversees Social Services which includes social workers for Independent Living.
  • Oversees Pastoral Services.
  • Assists residents in making smooth and orderly transitions to their new home and between levels of service.
  • Serves as a member of the Resident Committee which ensures all residents can live in the level of service that is best suited for the individual.
  • Oversees the Outpatient Clinic. Ensuring basic medical services are available to our independent living residents, giving them the opportunity to age in place as much as possible.
  • Establishes and maintains connections with community agencies, subcontractors and service providers to assure required resources for residents.
  • Directly supervises the Resident Life and Wellness who provides support for the entire department.
  • Establishes resident/team members communication networks and procedures in coordination with other team members.
  • Collaborates important information to the Resident Council.
  • Attends Leadership Team meetings and other assigned committee meetings. Completes project work as assigned.
  • Serves as contract monitor for the Beauty shop and Massage services, maintains licensure and contract updates.
  • Prepares departmental budget and fiscal reports. Establishes systems for inventory controls and department expenses and maintains fiscal control.
  • Participates in trade association of choice to establish outside networking relationships and continued education sessions for current trends and career growth.
  • Attends all mandatory in-services and others as appropriate.
