Manages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.

Since 1989, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Managed Care has served as a healthcare delivery service, providing high quality, low cost healthcare to patients within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred; Six years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education beyond Bachelor's may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Major/Essential Functions
- Demonstrates and aligns with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Values Based Culture and supports Service Plus Philosophy of TTUHSC.
- Provides supervision and management of Mental Health Clinician's (MHC's) and Senior directors in inpatient services at the Montford Unit.
- Evaluates clinical/work performance of inpatient MHC's and ensures compliance with related state, local and departmental policies such as American Correctional Association (ACA), Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), and TTUHSC.
- Ensure communication channels between team and leadership remain open and effective.
- Exercises caution and is mindful of risk management ramifications while providing services and supervising clinicians.
- Provides team opportunities for continuous professional development and to ensure that the outpatient team maintains and builds a competent workforce to meet the ever-changing demands of the environment.
